Job Overview: We are seeking a reliable and customer-oriented Produce Clerk to join our team.
As a Produce Clerk, you will be responsible for ensuring the freshness and quality of our produce department.
Your main duties will include stocking and organizing produce, assisting customers with their purchases, and maintaining a clean and inviting department.
Responsibilities: - Stocking and replenishing produce displays - Inspecting produce for quality and freshness - Rotating stock to ensure older products are sold first - Assisting customers in selecting the best produce items - Providing exceptional customer service and answering any questions or concerns - Maintaining cleanliness and organization of the produce department - Operating equipment such as scales, slicers, and juicers - Following all safety and sanitation procedures Qualifications: - Previous experience in retail sales or a similar role is preferred - Ability to lift heavy objects and perform physical tasks such as loading and unloading produce - Excellent communication skills to interact with customers and team members - Strong organizational skills to keep the department clean and well-stocked - Customer service-oriented mindset to provide a positive shopping experience for customers - Knowledge of different types of produce and their characteristics is a plus - The succesful canidate will be available to work each day of the week, but not required to do so.
5 day work week - Compensation will be determined with experience in mind.
