edu/ The Opportunity The Classics Department is seeking a dynamic and organized individual to join our team as a Graduate Field Coordinator / Accounts Coordinator.
This position offers a unique opportunity to contribute to the success of our Graduate School and Graduate Field of Classics by providing essential support to both students and faculty.
Graduate Field Coordinator Responsibilities: As the Graduate Field Coordinator, you will be a key liaison between graduate students, faculty, and the Director of Graduate Studies.
Your primary responsibilities will include: Serve as a knowledgeable resource on Graduate School and Graduate Field of Classics policies, providing guidance to current and prospective students.
Advise students on degree requirements, funding status, professional development, course scheduling, and wellness initiatives.
Create a welcoming environment for graduate students and faculty by anticipating needs and implementing strategies to enhance the overall student experience.
Manage the graduate application process using CollegeNet and coordinate travel arrangements for prospective graduate student visits.
Develop and maintain accurate graduate student files, preparing statistical information to inform decision-making on funding, TA assignments, and admissions cohort size.
Track student funding, prepare award letters, and process student awards through PeopleSoft.
Accounts Coordinator Responsibilities: In the role of Accounts Coordinator, you will be responsible for managing financial transactions and ensuring compliance with university policies.
Your key responsibilities will include: Learn and stay current with university financial policies and procedures, providing accurate information to resolve routine questions and problems.
Prepare financial transactions via Kuali and collaborate with the Administrative Manager and Shared Services Center for complex financial transactions.
Develop organizational systems to track a high volume of financial transactions and provide timely updates on payment status to faculty, students, and visitors.
Arrange travel logistics for complex faculty and student field trips, preparing and processing travel reimbursements and payments.
Use KFS and OBIEE dashboards to check account balances and ensure transactions are charged to appropriate accounts.
