Essential Functions / Major Duties
Responsible for performing a variety of duties to assist the Commercial Services Officers in meeting the commercial services needs of business customers.
Analyzes financial statements, tax returns, debt and income reports, and trade and bank references to determine the degree of risk involved in extending credit.

Prepares Loan Approval Records that include the degree of risk involved in extending credit.
These reports are subsequently shared with Loan Officers, the Loan Officer Committee and the Board of Directors.
Utilizes latest technology and software to accurately and efficiently analyze customer information.
This includes generating financial ratios to evaluate customers’ financial status.
Compares liquidity, profitability, and credit histories of businesses being evaluated with those of similar business in the same industries and geographic locations.
Advises and assists lenders in structuring loan credits according to bank policy, implementing commercial loan procedures and interest rate structure.
Prepares Commitment Letters and Appraisal Engagement Letters.
Orders credit reports, appraisals, inspections, EDRs and flood certifications.
Analyzes and monitors the credit worthiness of existing account base and recommends appropriate risk ratings based on established guidelines.
Provides direct and indirect service to commercial customers of the bank with respect to deposit, loan, and other miscellaneous products and services.
Assists directly and indirectly with customers in obtaining specialized services from other bank departments as necessary; provides help to customers with specific inquiries or service problems.
Ensures quality and efficiency in the underwriting and processing of loan documentation by implementing commercial loan procedures.
Updates customer history records; maintains the financial statement report; reviews credits on at least a periodic basis as described by policy.

Proficient computer skills including spreadsheet analysis.
Word processing, and use of computerized commercial loan analysis programs.
Proficient interpersonal relations, communication skills.
Thorough knowledge of the features and benefits of all bank commercial products and services.
Working knowledge of bank operating policies and procedures that impact commercial services.
Working knowledge of current bank regulations impacting the commercial lending function.
Broad knowledge of loan documentation and collateral policies and regulations.
Ability to read, speak and write English effectively; effective communication skills
Ability to perform advanced math and complex analysis.
Ability to view and analyze problems from different angles, and to identify and solve issues.
Ability to establish work priorities and remain flexible; ability to efficiently respond in an effective manner to a variety of demands in fast-paced environment.
Strong organizational skills, attention to detail and accuracy skills.
Strong customer service and interpersonal skills.
Education and/or Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting or another related field required.
Minimum three (3) years experience in related position preferred
Working Conditions:
Subject to frequent interruptions.
Extensive time spent viewing a computer screen.
Subject to prolonged periods of time in a seated or standing position
Pay Range: Min $23.
42 – Max $32.
