Ready to become a team member? Tetra Tech Architects and Engineers is seeking a Mechanical Engineering Designer ready to work closely with senior team members to prepare conceptual HVAC system designs for a variety of complex projects across our market sectors.

More about your team Our practice provides planning, design and construction phase services for a wide range of building types and clients, from K-12 and higher education facilities in New York to facilities supporting governments worldwide.
You’ll work closely with other engineers and architects, who have a long and successful history of delivering complex, innovative, and successful award-winning projects.
Most importantly, you’ll be joining a communities-focused, cohesive regional operating unit, supported by national and international resources.
How You’ll Make an Impact The primary goal of this role is to contribute to the long-term success of projects.
Your responsibilities include: Produce Mechanical Construction Documents using Revit and/or AutoCAD.
Under of guidance of a Mechanical Engineer, design of building mechanical systems including appropriate system concepts, calculations, energy modeling, layout, sizing, selections, specifications, and coordination.
Perform site visits for evaluation of existing systems or to inspect work in progress or completed.
Review and respond to team members on project design work, RFIs, submittals, and other construction related documents and issues in a professional and timely manner.
Research codes and standards as they pertain to assigned projects.
Work as a team with architects and electrical / structural engineers.
You will achieve your best if you have… Bachelor's degree in relevant field with 1-3 years of related work experience or Associate's degree with 3-5 years of related work experience.
Experience in Revit and AutoCAD, and have working knowledge of MS Office and Adobe products.
Ability to work in a team environment.
Exceptional organizational and time management skills.
You will stand out with An EIT certification (on track to become a licensed professional engineer).
